Hi Angelo....here's Winhay another aurora user.

I have a doubt with the STI measurements.

Specifically with impulse response for STI

I readed we can use a sweep signal with no equalization and no necessarily 62 dBA......ok, but about my source??.....

For example, can I use the impusle response used for evaluating acoustical parameters for evaluating the STI parameter?...(omnidirectional source)

or

When I measurement STI parameters I MUST obtain the IMPULSE response with a directional speaker ( emulate directionality of the male voice)


I know I'm must use a directional speaker for obtain the filter signal of the source......but If i have already the impulse response of a room
measured with a omnidirectional source it's necesary obtain the impulse response with a directional speaker?....

Hi Angelo.

Last two weeks ago I used Aurora Plugins for analyze a classroom, I used modules for Adobe Audition 3.0.

I don't know what's happen, but when I try to use the the acoustic parameters module the program (adobe 3.0) stops working and I must restart it.

I'm using windows 7.....have you heard about this kind of problem?....I don't know if is the program, the OS (windows 7)....or something else.

I have the license of aurora.

My electro-acoustic chain is.

Mic measurement -m-audio sound card- computer whit windows 7 OS and Adobe 3.0.

I'm use a sweep signal (50 to 20K Hz)......the convolution works fine. I have a very good s/n....more than 50 dB....and my long sweep is about 5 seconds.

Your page it's very interesting and usefull for us.

I have a doubt.......

When we use a mic for measurement the sweep of a source (omnidirectional source) who is far from it......for example 15 meters......the sound must travel 43ms to the mic right?.....

My question is.....these time......how influence in the measurement.....or how's aura fix these issue?.

First I'm want to thank you for the aurora software.......it's a very usefull tool......

I'm writing........in this forum but I don't know if still work on.

I have some questions...I hope you can help me...

I downloaded the aurora module for audacity software version 2.0.4 and 2.0.5......

......but when I try to use i have two problems........

1. there is message...."the module libfftw3f-3 does not provide a version string.....it will not be loaded".................but I'm using the module 2.0.5 for the version 2.0.5 of audacity.

2. When I trying to analize the acoustical parameters of an impulse response.......Fol-prov.wav..... (downloaded from your page) the program shut down!.

Can you help me with these two questions?
Is there a manual for the STI nmodule?......

I readed you're goin to change to use audacity software for your aurora modules......what version of aurora module you recomend to me?....I see there is a aurora module for cool edit but when I try to use......it ask me for a password.......

Well I hope these questions don't bother you......I think Aurora it's one of the most powerfull softwares and I want to take these oportunity to thank you for let us to use it.
