The inverse filter cannot be any shorter than twice the IR length. But it is advisable to select an even longer number of samples, equal to a power of 2. With a measured IR of 1985 samples, the minimum length for the inverse filter is 4096 samples, and possibly the optimal one is 8192 samples. Hi Angelo, based on your quote above, I think there might be an issue with the current implementation of Invert Kirkeby for Audacity: https://imgur.com/a/mbDZIz8 As you can see my IR length is 5088 and I tried to set the inverse filter length to 16384. However I get an error that this cannot be longer than the source. Indeed the default value is the same as that of the IR, but the result is weird. |
